Terra launched LUNA 2.0 mainnet as the main players try to revive the Terra ecosystem post-UST collapse. New LUNA coins were airdropped to Terra stakeholders on the classic (old Terra) chain. The amount given is approximately 70% of the total LUNA 2.0 token supply.
⎆Solana Blockchain Runs 30-Minutes Behind
The Solana blockchain is facing another issue as its real-world time by behind by ~30 minutes due to longer than ideal slot times on the network. Although the problem doesn’t directly impact the network performance, the time discrepancy might make applications built on Solana more prone to short-term time-based attacks.
⎆Korean Prosecutors Summon All Terraform Labs Staff
Local South Korean television network JTBC reported that prosecutors in South Korea, specifically the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors Office, have summoned all Terraform Labs employees to investigate the collapse of UST.
UST collapse affected people all across the world due to the global nature of crypto. The development and outcome of South Korea’s inquiry into this case will set a precedent for future DeFi cases.
