⎆Robinhood Launches Crypto Wallet
Arguably the number one mobile investing app amongst Millenials and Gen-Z has finally launched its crypto wallet for approximately 2 million eligible users. When Robinhood first integrated crypto, users are only able to buy or sell but there was no self-custodial wallet that provides users with full ownership of their own crypto assets. This announcement was made on stage at the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami.
⎆Luna Foundation Buys $100M AVAX
Luna Foundation Guard (LFG), the non-profit entity that is building reserves for Terra’s stablecoin (UST), has announced that it is purchasing $100M in AVAX tokens to diversify its reserves.
⎆Bolt Acquires Wyre for $1.5 Billion
Payment-focused fintech firm Bolt, which is arguably one of Stripe’s biggest competitors, has acquired a crypto payment startup named Wyre for $1.5 billion. Founded in 2014, Bolt’s focus is on a one-click checkout service for merchants. This acquisition shows that Bolt is seriously considering getting into the crypto payment space.
