Dear readers,
The WAGMI Journal has been a personal project of mine for the past 8 months. We published 246 issues and collected thousands of insightful data points, providing useful daily updates on all-things crypto for our readers.
Unfortunately, Iโve decided to put this publication to an end.
While consistency is key, understanding the marketโs feedback: cutting your losses, and doubling down on whatโs working is even more important.
Three months ago, I started my long-form publication, Pensive Pragmatism.
Instead of daily curated updates, this newsletter focuses on longer-form issues (7-12 minutes of reading time). The reception was remarkable. I garnered 3x the number of subscribers and 10x the number of readers in under 3 months. It seems that, after being in the crypto space for close to six years, people do want to hear what I have to say instead of just curating the news.
I also admit that itโs harder to compete in a daily newsletter format. Legacy players have realized the importance of crypto and stepped into the arena (Axios Crypto, Morning Brewโs InCrypto, and crypto mediaโs daily newsletter program e.g. The Block, CoinDesk, Blockworks). Whereas a publication that leans more towards my personal brand, directly stating what I think about certain crypto issues, mixed in with snarkiness and life musing seems to be hitting the right spot for most readers :)

Whatโs Next?
Iโll still be sharing The WAGMI Journal, on a daily basis, on a Telegram channel instead since I personally need those data to be collected regardless. If youโre interested in the channel, itโs accessible here.
Pensive Pragmatism is currently a once-a-week publication, but it will expand to the following in the next few weeks (the first time I publicly state this)
Weekly โLong-Formโ on important crypto topics
Weekly Project Coverage or Strategy Piece
Weekly Market Wrap (information from The Wagmi Journal will be included here)
Approximately 40% of the readers of this publication have already subscribed to Pensive Pragmatism.
For those who havenโt, Iโll be exporting The Wagmi Journalโs email list over to Pensive Pragmatism over the coming days. If you arenโt interested in this please unsubscribe from this publication (The WAGMI Journal) to signal your decision.
Once again, I appreciate all the time and attention that youโve given to this publication. I hope you continue to join my journey on my other publication, Iโm sure you wonโt regret it :)
Best Regards,
Marco M.
