⎆Katie Haun $1.5 Billion Fund

Former Federal Prosecutor and a16z partner Katie Haun announced her $1.5 billion fund split between $500 million for early-stage and $1 billion for more mature startups. Haun Ventures will launch during a relatively tough time in the crypto market, but Haun stated that “The extreme volatility is reminiscent of the first two crypto funds I deployed. What I learned from those funds is that great founders and great projects are going to be built in every cycle,”.

⎆Bored Ape Raised $450M at a $4B Valuations

Yuga Labs, the entity behind Bored Ape NFTs that has recently acquired the Intellectual Properties of CryptoPunks has raised $450M in new funding round at a $4 billion valuation led by a16z. Other notable investors include Animoca Brands, The Sandbox, and FTX. This move came after Bored Ape launched its own APE token which quickly became a top 100 coins by market cap within 24 hours.

⎆Crypto.com FIFA World Cup Sponsor

Crypto.com continues its sports-related focused marketing campaign by becoming the official FIFA World Cup sponsor that will be held this year in Qatar. Previously, Crypto.com has made one of the largest deals when it bought the naming rights of the Staples Center in Los Angeles to Crypto.com Arena for a $700M deal.
