⎆Interpol Issues Red Notice for Do Kwon
South Korea has confirmed that Interpol has requested law enforcement worldwide to arrest Do Kwon. It has issued a “Red Notice” to locate the founder of Terraform labs which wiped out investors’ $40 billion due to its endogenous algorithmic stablecoin.
⎆Robot Ventures Taps Uma Founders
Pre-seed crypto venture firm Robot Ventures has added Hart Lambur as a partner. Lambur was a trader at Goldman and founded the crypto protocol UMA. Robot Ventures is headed by DeFi heavyweights Robert Leshner (Compound’s founder) and Tarun Chitra (Gauntlet Network’s founder).
⎆Newsom Vetoed CA’s “BitLicense” Bill
CA’s governer Gavin Newsome has vetoed a crypto licensing bill that’s similar to New York’s BitLicense.
Assembly Bill 2269, sponsored by Assemblymember Tim Grayson (D), would have created a licensing regime for anyone hoping to facilitate crypto transactions, likening it to how money transmissions are currently overseen by the Money Transmission Act. It was one of eight bills Newsom vetoed Friday, He signed 21 other bills, addressing issues ranging from crossing signals to cybersecurity to infrastructure concerns.
