⎆Ethereum Merge Pushed to Q3 2022
Ethereum’s journey to transition from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake has once again been delayed to the latter half of 2022. This is despite having done a successful merge in a testnet environment.
⎆BlackRock Is Studying Cryptocurrencies
The world’s largest asset manager is continuously signaling that it will sooner or later embrace crypto assets. CEO Larry Fink stated in a conference call that the firm is studying the crypto sector broadly, after having entered into a partnership with Circle, the firm behind the USDC stablecoin.
⎆Nexo Unveils Crypto Payment Cards
Crypto lender Nexo has announced crypto-backed payment cards that will enable users to pay for goods and services without having to sell their crypto assets. Named Nexo card, the new product is being offered via a partnership with Mastercard and payment services provider DiPocket. The card is currently available across select European markets.
