⎆Senator Warren New Crypto Sanction Bill
Senator Elizabeth Warren and a few other Democratic co-sponsors introduced a new crypto bill titled the Digital Asset Sanctions Compliance Enhancement Act. In essence, this bill will place restrictions on the crypto ecosystem to the point of targeting software developers and node operators.
⎆Bored Ape Launched ApeCoin
The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) successfully launched its token, ApeCoin. The token will play a critical part in the Metaverse's future that BAYC is building, and currently sits close to $15 billion fully diluted valuations, directly becoming a top 100 crypto asset by market cap.
⎆Ethereum Merged Successfully on Kiln Testnet
Ethereum has successfully merged on Kiln, the final public testnet before Ethereum’s transition to a Proof-of-Stake network.
Ethereum’s multi-stage shift to a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism would validate transactions using nodes run by “stakers.” This is in favor of the current proof-of-work design, which relies on centralized entities called “miners” for validating transactions on the network.
